FDSMS will be hosting the annual Mass at St. Margaret’s Church on August 25, 2019.
The service, officiated by OLPH, will start at 1:00pm. Following the service will be a “Meet & Greet Social” and a silent auction. Everyone is welcome.
St. Margaret’s Church is located on the North Shore of Hasting Lake, 51442 Range Road 203, County of Stratcona
We’ll be cleaning up the grounds, removing some downed trees, cutting grass, interior church cleaning, etc and socializing. All help is greatly appreciated.
The annual general meeting will be held Thursday, April 18, 2019 7:00 pm at the North Cooking Lake Community Hall, 21033 Wye Rd.
Metis Nation of Alberta will be having a mass at the church as part of their commemorative walk. The mass will be held by Bishop Slyvin at 11:00 am followed by lunch at Deville North Cooking Lake Hall.

Join to walk 6.6 kilometers in honour of Riel’s family and friends who carried his casket 6 miles in the harsh Manitoba winter to St. Boniface so that he may be laid to rest.
Following the walk, mass with Artchbishop Richard Smith, Catholic archdiocese of Edmonton will be held at St. Margaret’s Church, before a light lunch at Deville North Cooking Lake Hall.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) will have their annual Mass on August 27 at 1 pm. All are welcome.
Also, Friends Of Deville/St.Margaret’s Society will be hosting an Open House following the Mass from 2 to 5 pm. This will be an excellent opportunity to learn of the history of the church and cemetery.
The annual general meeting will be held Thursday, April 13, 2017 7:00 pm at the North Cooking Lake Community Hall.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) will have their annual mass on August 28 at 1 pm. Hope to see you there.
Also, there will be a Friends Of Deville/St.Margaret’s Society general meeting specifically called to discuss/approve an application for a Historical Conservation Grant for the replacement of the roof shingles.
The meeting will be at 2:30 pm following the Mass at the church.
All are invited to the annual church and grounds clean-up. Contact us or just show up. Many hands makes for short work. Basically, cutting grass, trimming bush/rees and church cleaning.
